Handicrafts
There are numerous explanations for the surging popularity of sewing, knitting, crocheting, beadwork, needlepoint and more. Some are learning these skills as a way to stay connected to the past, others have taken them up to save, or make, money. Today we'll talk about the popularity of DIY craft projects. Guests: Faythe Levine, co-author of Handmade Nation (and producer of a documentary film of the same name), Sue Von Ohlsen, owner of The Knitting Corner in Virginia Beach, Erin Bried, author of How to Sew a Button, and Abby Wright of the American Sewing Guild.
