Cathy Lewis will discuss the cost of that life-saving medicine with him, and we will hear from a woman who has been impacted by this issue personally. Then we will discuss efforts by the UVA Health System to collect medical debts from patients. A Washington Post article reported that it has sued thousands of people, seized bank accounts, put liens on property, and forced people into bankruptcy. Later in the program, we will hear about a local man who is HIV-positive and recently donated a kidney to a recipient with HIV as part of a clinical trial.

Plant-based meat products are undergoing a renaissance, with new brands like Impossible and Beyond attempting to mimic the taste and texture of animal meat. Cathy Lewis will talk to a reporter from The Washington Post about the industry's growth, and what cattle ranchers are doing in response. Then, we will talk to the executive director of the Plant Based Food Association about the benefits of the meatless products, and local doctor Ryan Light will let us know if the veggie options are a healthy choice.
