Segment A: Flight from Monticello
Michael Kranish is an author, historian and the Washington correspondent for The Boston Globe. This little-explored episode from Jefferson's life lit a spark of inspiration for Kranish and the resulting book Flight from Monticello: Thomas Jefferson at War has garnered rave reviews.
