Virginia's Storied Past
Our commonwealth has a rich and vibrant history from its earliest colonization to the ravages of a great civil war and beyond. On today's broadcast host Cathy Lewis is joined by two authors who have researched the more obscure corners of Virginia's history and discovered two truly compelling stories. Join us as we journey to Civil War era Richmond and experience the harrowing tale of a former slave turned Union spy and later experience the bloody business of moonshine in 1930's Franklin County.
