Praised as ‘the great communicator’ and described as ‘most important American conservative icon in the 20th century,’ Ronald Reagan continues to play a powerful role in American politics – more than 20 years after he left office.  On today’s program, we’ll take a look the man behind the myth – and examine how Ronald Reagan’s legacy is defined today.

He has written numerous books, including “The Enduring Reagan,” “The Future of Conservatism: Consensus and Conflict in the Post-Reagan Era.” His latest book, “The Presidency in the 21st Century”

Craig Shirley, author of two books on Ronald Reagan’s campaign “Reagan’s Revolution” and “Rendezvous with Destiny” is the Reagan Scholar at Eureka College and whose forthcoming book, “Citizen Newt,” is an authorized biography of Newt Gingrich.  His firm Shirley & Banister Public Affairs is working on behalf of Newt 2012.
