The Rising Tide

Hampton Roads was recently ranked in the top five of most hurricane vulnerable U.S. cities.  While we have been mostly spared the brunt of the Atlantic's most powerful storms, our region is home to vital and expensive infrastructure that is vulnerable to storm-surge related impact.  On today's HearSay, we'll speak with a panel of experts on the impact of rising sea levels on a coastal community that has come eye to eye with 57 hurricanes and tropical storms over the past 150 years.

Scheduled Guests:

Skip Styles - Executive Director, Wetlands Watch

Molly Mitchell - Researcher, Center for Coastal Resources Management

Larry Atkinson - Eminent Scholar and Samuel and Fay Slover Professor of Oceanography, Old Dominion University
