Segment A: Wired Kids, Worried Parents
Kids make great friends in school, but when summer vacation kicks in, many of them have to say goodbye at least until the fall. Nowadays, social media, cellphones, and instant messaging, are simple solutions, but they can be addictive. How can parents moderate the use without cutting the cord to their children's important socialization needs? Guest host Kerri Furey takes a look at the conundrum with a social worker and parent's education expert to help keep children from being swallowed up by technology in the summer months.

Segment B: Space Racers
Ahead of a new exhibit at the Virginia Air & Space Center called Space Racers: Adventures in Space Exploration, we'll meet the stars of this new show coming to WHRO-TV 15! Space Racers, the series, follows their characters– Robyn, Eagle and Hawk – as they learn about the power of scientific investigation and observation, the wonders of space exploration, and the importance of working together as a team. NASA served as tech consultants on the series reviewing every script for accuracy and supplied real space sounds and images used throughout the animated adventures.
